LPG or Liquefied Petroleum Gas is a colourless, low carbon and highly efficient fuel, supplied in two main forms, Propane and Butane.

Propane has a low boiling point of -42°C and is not affected by cold conditions in the U.K making it ideal for outdoor use. Thanks to the high-octane rating, propane is ideal for heating, is a cleaner burner than fossil fuels and does not contaminate groundwater or soil.

Butane has a boiling point of -2°C and is ideal for fuelling portable gas heaters and indoor use. It also produces more energy per cubic metre than propane.

How long a cylinder will last varies from household to household.  Preferences, usage and the age of your boiler or appliance, will all vary the outcome.  We would recommend being aware of your own ordering history and to ensure your appliance and/or boiler are serviced annually.

If you smell gas inside or outside the property, turn the cylinders OFF immediately by using the valve which can be found on the top of the cylinder.

If you suspect the cylinder is leaking, call Chepstow Fuel Centre on 01291 623485, where we will come out and replace the faulty cylinder. If the leak is anywhere other than the cylinder, then you should get an GASSAFE engineer to assess and carry out any repairs.

Chepstow Fuel Centre are not qualified GAS SAFE engineers and cannot carry out any repair work.

Chepstow Fuel Centre do not work alongside registered engineers. We would recommend visiting the GAS SAFE register www.gassaferegister.co.uk where you can find your local, certified engineer.

Yes.  What sets us apart from other LPG delivery companies is our ability to deliver to rural, narrow access and difficult to reach properties, in all weather conditions.  We run a fleet of different vehicle types; 7.5 tonne Gas Lorry for Commercial and easy to reach properties, smaller 3.5 tonne for narrow access locations and a 4-wheel drive for those adverse weather conditions and off-road isolated areas.

Chepstow Fuel Centre is an agent for Air Products & Hobbyweld.  As such we now hold a large variety of Welding, Cutting and Specialist gases.  You can buy Hobbyweld gases online from our website or order Air Products gases by calling us on 01291 623485.

When you buy industrial gas some suppliers charge a monthly rental for the bottle.  With our RENT FREE gasses from Air Products & Hobbyweld you simply pay a one off, refundable deposit* and gas fill for your first cylinder, keep it for as long as you need and then swap for a refill as often or as little as you need.  You pay a bottle deposit and for the gas you use but you don’t pay a rental for the bottle.

*A small admin fee is taken from the deposit when the bottle is returned.

Yes, we supply Air Products gases for professional users and Hobbyweld gases for home / occasional users.  Between the two suppliers we offer MIG, TIG & Universal welding gases as well as Oxygen, Nitrogen, Helium, Carbon Dioxide & Cellar gases for home or professional use.

We offer both brands as each have different cylinder sizes, offer gas on different terms and some users prefer to have a choice.  We tend to supply Air Products for professional users and Hobbyweld for home and occasional users.
